AUTISM COMMUNITY RESOURCES: Finding a Guide
Most often family members need to find a provider guide from within the Autism community to make the fastest and surest progress forward. Autism organizations are often run by smaller office staffs of volunteers/parents, so your calls may initially be answered by machine or voice messaging services, or automated email and fax. Please listen to their message carefully then be sure to TALK SLOWLY and leave your name, phone number and address. We may try to return your call or mail you information only once. If you think you have not gotten a return call--just try again. Most non-profit providers must return all long distance calls collect.
There is a live person and on-call voice of a professional Autism consultant with free long distance return call backs here at THRESHOLD--and we have voice mail too. We only ask that you check out our web pages first--it has all the most frequently asked for information at your finger tips. We are here if you need to chat after you read it--and email works the best. See our CONTACT US link on the homepage matrix.)
